FAQ

Does it really work?

RTT is hugely effective and is growing in popularity because of its life-changing effects. RTT is ground-breaking. It’s a hybrid technology, taking and improving upon many previous techniques, and combining them in a single methodology. It is a simple, safe, natural and proven approach. Some GP’s are endorsing it.

Will I be awake, aware or asleep?

There are many misperceptions of hypnosis but I can assure you that you’ll be completely safe. You’ll be awake and fully aware of what’s happening and alert throughout the session.

Will I be out of control, can you ask me to do anything I don't want to?

We have all seen the TV and stage shows but no, in hypnosis you’ll not be clucking or mooing! You are fully awake and aware and you can’t be made to do anything or even taken into hypnosis against your will. You remain in control at all times.

How will I feel during and after the session?

Clients generally feel comfortable and relaxed during the sessions. There is nothing to be frightened of as it’s a completely natural state of calmness. Sometimes, scenes may be emotional, but you are not reliving anything, merely reviewing them with the support of the therapist.

Clients react in different ways following the session, depending on what comes up and what was being worked on. Change is retroactive, subtle and is not always ‘instant’. However, some clients leave feeling euphoric and some leave feeling a sense of reflection or wonder. Either way, the effect takes time to ‘soak in’ as you continue to discover more about yourself and as you listen to your post-session recording. Irrespective of how you feel, there will be post-session follow up and you will be able to make contact and talk.

What if I can't be hypnotised?

Everyone can be hypnotised because it’s a natural state, so you don’t need to worry. This is about team-work and for sessions to be really successful, it helps that clients want to participate and make the change. So, as long as you wish to enter hypnosis, you will. So just relax and enjoy the experience.

Are the sessions confidential?

All clients are assured of confidentiality about any disclosed material, in accordance with professional codes of conduct. Safeguarding policies are also in place for the protection of children and vulnerable adults. Only in cases where clients’ welfare are deemed “at risk” might it be necessary to contact the relevant authorities and usually with consent of the client. However, in normal cases, client confidentiality is upheld, files are stored appropriately and destroyed according to the appropriate laws.

Am I charged for the follow-up review sessions?

No, the follow-up review sessions are included in the initial fee and gives clients the opportunity to feedback on how they are feeling, ask questions and look at other areas of future development.

Are the zoom sessions as effective as face-to-face?

Yes, Zoom sessions are just as effective as face-to-face meetings and over 70% of sessions are currently held online. Online fits around people’s busy lives and clients enjoy the freedom that this affords.

How will I know if I need more than one session?

RTT gives us access to the root cause of the belief system sitting behind the symptoms. In effect the presenting issues are often symptomatic of an underlying issue. Once we find the issue or the belief, it’s relatively easy to release them and change the belief to something more beneficial. Generally it will take one session per issue. Sometimes, for longer term issues, clients benefit from two or a maximum three sessions, such as long-term depression or anxiety.

What if I find something I don't want to talk about?

If you don’t want to talk about something then you don’t have to. Occasionally clients uncover something they feel uncomfortable sharing and this is respected during the session and we can often work around the intimate details of a scene, without having to disclose everything.

Does RTT involve regression?

RTT includes regressions back to scenes, as it is helps us to locate the root cause or belief, sitting behind an issue. Regression is not about re-living the experience, it’s about reviewing and observing a scene, so we can make sense of the significance, relevance and meaning attributed to it. Some scenes may bring up sadness, upset or joy, but whatever happens, as the adult, you will feel completely safe as you observe.

Where are you based?

Hayling Island, Hampshire. Zoom meetings open up worldwide for English speaking countries.

How many sessions will I need?

Most traditional hypnotherapy will take between 6-12 sessions to reach a desired outcome (usually costing between £1,080-£1,620). Many talking therapies will take considerably longer, with clients reporting periods anywhere between 12 weeks and 6 years (£780-£17,500). With RTT, most clients see results after their first session, although some deep-seated issues, such as long-term depression, may take up to 2 or maximum 3 sessions. Typically, clients return to work on new areas to improve their lives, such as attracting wealth, relationships, self-esteem etc. Once we release what’s holding us back, things just get better and better!
